Lino Printing

Lino Printing is great fun and a simple and cost effective way to produce a print on to absolutely any item. This workshop is aimed at older children to enhance their drawing skills and educate them to adapt to different mediums. Our instructors will hand children a piece of tracing paper, which they'll then ask the children to draw out their design on to. Using their finished work they will then demonstrate how to transfer the image on to Lino block and carve out the design. Paints will then be used to cover the design and print onto an item of choice. All the equipment used will be explained and a demonstration provided. Lino printing is a particularly useful workshop for older children and gives them an insight into other ways of printing just as accurately as a modern day printer but one which allows them to print on to almost anything without the restrictions of a printer.
