This workshop provides creativity at it's best. It is packed with a variety of decorative items and uses sculpting methods out of natural materials. Children will be shown how to create the basic structure of their lantern using long willow sticks to a number of themes, animals, flowers and more. They will be shown how to bind and create a lantern shade which can be decorated in the fabulous variety of sparkles on offer. The lanterns are designed to be hung outdoors and can hold a small t-light to illuminate them in the garden. They are approx 1 metre in size or smaller if children wish. Not only does Lantern making provide such a variety of creativity but children can go on to make other sculptures in very similar ways. A real learning experience.
